Having read law at university, Richard moved into the world of property and for 21 years ran the sales department of a leading Devon firm of chartered surveyors.  More recently he set up his own firm dealing exclusively with period properties and barn conversions and currently specialises in the sale of distinctive homes by private treaty and auction.

 

Richard is recognised as an authority on listed buildings, barn conversions and conservation areas and his priority is teaching and training estate agents to develop their businesses so that they can move into the quality market.  He works closely with the media on property matters, regularly appearing in the press and on regional radio and television.

 

He is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and a Fellow of the National Association of Valuers & Auctioneers and is a former director of the NAEA.
